Hi friends. No, our names are not Elle or Ellie. Those are the nicknames of our two beautiful girls.
We’re Emily and Aly. We’ve been friends for over a decade and we’re both navigating this whole stay at home mom thing. Between the two of us, we have three amazing kiddos, four fields of expertise, and a whole lotta clothes.
When Em and I started on our journeys to motherhood, I don’t think either of them went quite the way we ever imagined during our late nights of what-if talks when we were 16. But I know that neither of us would have it any other way.
I’m Aly. I used to start my introductions by spewing off my title as creative director of literally the best biz I could have ever worked for. But when Eloise was born I decided to leave my job and start this new one full time. So now I guess I’ll introduce myself by saying I’m a full time mama.
I started my journey to this mama life almost three years ago. Well, that’s when I officially started it, I honestly think I’ve been on this journey since I was a little girl. When I grew up, I didn’t always have the same career goal but I always wanted to be a mom.
Fast forward to now and I couldn’t imagine not spending every single day with my Eloise Mae. I know without a doubt, that a mama is what I was always meant to be.
I’m Emily. Stay at home mama of two. As Aly said, my motherhood journey wasn’t quite as 16 year old me had ever imagined.
I always thought I’d spend my twenties building a career and traveling the world. The rest would come later.
That’s exactly what I was doing when I found out I was pregnant with my son. While my now husband and I had planned to have kids someday, we didn’t know someday would come quite so soon. But, man am I glad he chose us.
Fast forward three years – a marriage, a house and baby number two. Now I get to love on my two beautiful babies all day, every day and show them the world. It’s more than everything I ever wanted.
Together we decided to create elle and ellie. Something for us, inspired by the best part of us. A brand that embraces motherhood, and all the amazing, wonderful, sticky (literally) situations that come along with it. Designs for moms, by moms.
